Cubby Dimensions
The dimensions are: 80″ wide, 71″ high, shelves are 12″ high and 6″ deep. The top ledge is 80 1/2″ x 6 1/2″.
Lofting your bed high? No problem. Cubby Extenders raise the cubby 16″ (for a total height of 87”) to accommodate higher lofting positions. See the How It Works page for more information on Cubby Extenders.
The top of this bed is approximately 48″ tall (the top of the bed frame is lofted to approximately 40″ + plus the mattress and mattress topper).
Our standard height dorm bed cubby works at this height, two loft positions lower, and one loft position higher (there is an approximate 3″ difference between loft heights). To loft the bed to the higher levels, please add the Cubby Extenders to your rental order.
When arriving at our room move-in day, the UNCW bed was provided at this level with the UNCW dresser under the bed. Many students keep the dresser under the bed due to space constraints. The top of this bed is approximately 42″ tall (with the mattress and mattress topper). The dorm bed cubby can be used at this position and three lofting positions higher (there are approximately 3″ between each loft position). To loft the bed to the higher levels, please add the Cubby Extenders to your rental order.

Is assembly required?
No assembly required. Your cubby arrives fully assembled and ready to use. The cubby does not attach to the wall; it stands independently between the bed and the wall.
Are cubbies sturdy for books and laptops?
Yes, these are designed for books, laptops, and other daily essentials.
Can I charge items in the cubby?
The cubby comes with two cutouts that have covers to allow access to charging cables. Depending on your charging needs, you might only utilize one of these cut outs.
Does a charging station fit in that cutout?
Yes, here is a picture of the charging station the students used last year along with the link from Amazon.
Can I reserve a cubby without knowing my dorm assignment?
Yes, select "TBD" when ordering. See the next question for providing us with this information.
How do I update my dorm assignment after I've placed my order?
As soon as you receive it, email us at hello@dormwise.net with your dorm assignment (please include the student’s Name, Building and Room #).
When will my cubby be delivered?
Cubbies are delivered to UNCW prior to student move-in days.
What happens at the end of the academic year?
We handle the pick-up of your cubby directly from your dorm. UNCW will assign us a pick up day.
